Hi, I'm Tracey!
For 30 years, I had the privilege of helping children become confident readers. I spent 15 years teaching kindergarten and second grade, followed by the next 15 years as a district reading coach supporting classrooms from kindergarten through sixth grade through Title One.
Throughout my career, I saw how challenging high-frequency words can be for beginning readers, especially words with tricky or unexpected spelling patterns. I dreamed of creating a program that would make learning these words easier, more engaging, and more successful.
With the help of my son, who studied computer science, and my daughters, who now teach first grade in my former school, that dream became the Tricky Sight Words app!
Our goal is simple: to help young readers build confidence, fluency, and a strong foundation for lifelong reading success.
